Book and publishing news from Stephen York

A new professional editing body is formed

The Society for Editors and Proofreaders became the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading on 1 March 2020, the culmination of a five-year journey.

New editorial services added

  • Proofreading for students: assignments, dissertations, essays, proposals, and theses
  • Proof-editing: if you want something extra than proofreading, but not a full copyedit and proofread, why not consider this option: proofreading plus light editing
  • Rewriting and paraphrasing: giving your writing a new look or voice.
