Proofreading

I can proofread against the copyedited manuscript or, as some publishers prefer, proofread the proofs blind, i.e. with no reference to copyedited material.

I am happy to check the proofs against your house style sheet, or use New Hart’s Rules or The Chicago Manual of Style if you do not have a set style.

Collation

After I have completed my proofread I can incorporate the author’s and your corrections into the PDF to produce a master set of first proofs.

Checking revises

When the master set of collated first proofs has received the typesetter’s attention I can check through the second (or subsequent) proofs to ensure all corrections have been incorporated correctly.
